We are seeking a Clinical Imaging, Lead - CT Scanner that will assist, organize and direct the daily activities of his / her modality, while also performing the duties of a technologist / sonographer. The technologist / sonographer duties include but are not limited to: performing examinations according to physician orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, taking into account individual patient needs or age-related needs. Utilizes knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging factors, imaging technique and patient treatment to produce optimal images.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Assure modality equipment and staff meet operational needs at all times
Identify and takes appropriate action to maximize daily patient exam flow and staff productivity
Lead by example, demonstrates team leader attributes, shares knowledge respectfully, serves as a resource and oversees daily modality activities / staffing 24/7
Work with Supervisor and Imaging Manager to assure modality imaging protocols and staff competency continually meet or exceed community standards at all times
Work closely with Supervisor / Manager to resolve modality conflicts quickly and efficiently
Create, obtain approval, and posts staff work and call schedules in a timely manner each month
Act as a point of contact for patient complaints and exercises judgment in service recovery
Orient, train, mentor and coaches staff as needed
Collect information and provides input for staff performance evaluations and with approval, may participate with supervisor / manager in the delivery of evaluation with employee
Patient care is the primary duty of a lead
Prioritize work to meet customer needs in a timeframe consistent with their expectations
Function as staff liaison for problem solving and issue identification
Participate in a process with supervisor / manager to develop agenda and facilitate staff meetings
Assist supervisor / manager in the coordination of daily operations in assigned care environment
Maintain budgetary control over supplies
Participate in Joint Commission and other inspection preparedness and works with Supervisor / Manager to assure regulatory requirements are met
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Current certification by one or more of the following credentialing bodies:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT (ARRTCT)
Current Oregon Licensure from the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI)
Current Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) card
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Five (5) years of Imaging experience
