Providence is calling a Loan Processor to Providence Federal Credit Union in Milwaukie, Oregon. This is a full-time, benefited position. Schedule is 7:15 a.m. - 4:15 p.m., Monday - Friday.
We are seeking a Loan Processor who will assist the Credit Union to achieve its mission is creating lifelong relationships and financial success. This is accomplished by providing outstanding service to both internal and external members. An important element of this outstanding service is identifying the financial needs of the member and effectively suggesting solutions that will improve the member's financial life. Additionally, under general supervision of the AVP of Lending, the Loan Processor is responsible for monitoring the loan portfolio and working multiple system generated maintenance and tracking reports. This position works closely with Lending Underwriters, and Collections to ensure efficiency, integrity, and transparency.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Be responsible for care of collateral in the Credit Unions possession, and perfecting collateral through DMV, UCC filing and/or recording deeds of trust
Analyze and complete loan subordination requests, release UCC and release vehicle liens
Understand risk base lending and follows policies, procedures and guidelines related to Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Lending, Regulation B, Regulation Z and all other compliance regulations to ensure daily compliance. Must be registered and in good standing with NMLS and renew registration each year
Maintain consistent commitment to PFCU member service philosophy and principles
Respond to members' inquiries and requests; assists in completing forms and documents
Review and understand credit reports and explains to member information as reported
Resolve members and/or dealer problems and/or complaints
Maintain and build member relationships
Understand and prepare loan documentation for funding. Understands and run Kelley Blue Book, NADA, appraisal reports, etc.
Able to compute interest and payments, debt ratio, evaluate paystub and member tax returns for income, and other key ratios in lending
Prepare and maintains a variety of loan records, documents and files
Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretionary judgment
Demonstrate proficient knowledge of the features and benefits of all PFCU deposit and loan products
Ability to maintain the admin facility in good working order and ensures that property is clean, attractive and safe
Provide notary services with Providence FCU membership
Participate in required meetings and training
Perform general secretarial tasks, typing / filing as needed
Required qualifications for this position includes:
High School Diploma -OR- GED
Coursework/Training: Continued participation in lending classes and/or workshops to further job knowledge as necessary
One (1) year of experience in a lending role in the financial services industry
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Credit Union experience
