Providence is calling a Licensed Practical Nurse - Milwaukie Nursing (0.6 FTE, Days) to Providence Milwaukie Healing Place, OR.
We are seeking LPN- Milwaukie Nursing who will perform full secretarial functions of a highly responsible and confidential nature for the Director of Finance, Associate Administrator, and the Director of Mission Integration. Present a positive image of the Administration Department to employees, members of the Medical Staff, Corporate and Regional offices of the Sisters of Providence, and the general public
In this position, you will:
Take and transcribes minutes for designated committees. Develop routine correspondence, takes dictation via phones or teleconference, and produces results in a timely manner.
Make necessary travel and itinerary arrangements for two Directors and the Associate Administrator. Also, make an arrangement for speakers, forums, public service events, etc. hosted by Providence St. Vincent Medical Center.
Screen telephone and personal callers, handling those matters that are routine. Answer questions and takes independent action when possible, or makes appropriate referral to other
Maintain calendars and schedules appointments. Schedules conference rooms and coordinates all meeting arrangements, and other commitments. Coordinates food service arrangements as needed
Brief Directors and Associate Administrator on all issues and matters prior to pending events/activities, prepares draft agendas, completes data and prepares for routine presentations
Learn standard operating procedures for volunteer cultivation activities. Coordinate and schedules all PRIDE presentations throughout the hospital
Sort, direct and respond to daily mail. Create and maintain departmental files/manuals
Act as support staff for local events, field questions and monitor preparations for conferences, presentations, lunches/dinners, and other occasions. Track attendance, prepares handouts and follow-up correspondence for Directors, Administrative Staff, Medical Staff and others
Prepare and track basic and routine financial support documents, invoices, check requests, purchase orders and related forms meeting deadlines and format protocols
Demonstrate positive interactions with the public, and positive interpersonal relations in dealing with fellow employees, supervisors, and other department employees, so that productivity and positive employee relations are maximized
Compose and type correspondence, letters, memos, schedules, reports, meeting notices, charts, fliers, booklets, and other projects. Prepare correspondence for review and signature. Route or answer general inquiries not requiring Director’s attention
Order and maintain standard operating office supplies for department
Create, update, and maintain Mission Integration and Ethics Web-site
Provide backup secretarial support as needed to other administrative secretaries when they are unavailable or on vacation
Required qualifications for this position include:
Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) licensure
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Office nursing experience
Medical Scribe: 2 years of experience in general hospital medical/surgical and/or ambulatory care transcription
