Providence Health & Services Mental Health Professional Therapist in Milwaukie, Oregon
Providence is calling an on-call Mental Health Professional Therapist to the Recreational Activities Department at Providence Milwaukie Hospital in Milwaukie, OR.
In this position, you will:
Be responsible for providing clinically therapeutic programs and treatment in the inpatient behavioral health units.
Be responsible for providing various modalities of treatment from a trauma informed clinical model that can include group, individual and family therapy, under the supervision of the manager/director and in collaboration with multidisciplinary treatment team,
Be responsible for the psychosocial interventions established in the patient treatment plan.
Use education and training to assist in stabilizing and treating patients during their stay on the unit.
Provide feedback and input to the multidisciplinary team regarding their assessment of the patient strengths, capacities, and responsiveness to the treatment.
Assist in supporting discharge planning efforts, interventions that support rapid stabilization and movement of the patient back into the community or the next level of care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Incumbents must have one of the following:
Masters degree in psychology, social work, or other mental health related field from an accredited school, or from a school in candidacy status by the appropriate higher education council
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with the state of Oregon. Licensure as an Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington required as needed based on work location(s).
Masters degree in recreational therapy from an accredited school, or from a school in candidacy status by the appropriate higher education council
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) national credential. Licensure in accordance with the appropriate Oregon state board
Masters degree in Creative/Expressive Arts from an accredited school, or from a school in candidacy status by the appropriate higher education council. Masters degree must be eligible for licensure as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in accordance with the appropriate Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists.
LPC or LMFT licensure with the appropriate Oregon state board
2 years of relevant experience in an inpatient mental health setting
