Providence Health & Services Nursing House Supervisor in Milwaukie, Oregon
Providence is calling for a full time Nursing House Supervisor (0.9 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Milwaukie Hospital in Milwaukie, OR.
Providence Milwaukie Hospital is a community facility with outstanding physicians, nurses, staff and volunteers. Our hospital has 77 licensed beds for acute care and employs approximately 450 medical staff members. We see over 30,000 Emergency Department visits annually with an average daily census of 22 (acute care).
The House Supervisor must be an individual who is a great problem solver, someone who can "put out fires" and someone who can make quick decisions when situations arise. Shifts are self-scheduled in collaboration with existing House Supervisors.
In this position, you will:
Serve as the primary leader in ensuring effective and efficient patient flow in the Hospital.
Be accountable for the provision of quality nursing services and coordination of the inter-professional team in a hospital for a defined shift.
Consistently support the Providence Health & Services Mission, Values and goals.
Perform with a constant focus on patient and family centered care and high reliability principles.
Promote evidence-based practice within a context of constant change in patient volume and acuity, and available resources.
Build collaborative relationships with other Health Systems, and uses timely and effective verbal and written communication approaches.
Constructively lead through organizational change.
Demonstrate commitment to lifelong learning and demonstrates contemporary professional nursing standards and skills.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
Current credentialing in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or within six months of hire
5 years in nursing with experience in progressive leadership roles
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master's degree in related field
Critical care experience
